A New Chapter in Capital-Efficient Growth
We are pleased to announce that sensfix has closed a Series A extension round, bringing our total funding raised to $14 million across seed and Series A stages. This milestone is not just a validation of our technology — it is an endorsement of our capital-efficient, product-led growth model that has enabled us to scale enterprise deployments across Europe and now into the Asia-Pacific region.
The extension round was driven by strong demand signals from existing customers who expanded their use of the SAAI Suite across additional facilities and production lines. Rather than raising a large round to fuel speculative growth, we chose a disciplined approach: extend the Series A to fund concrete, revenue-generating expansion plans that are already underway.
Why APAC, and Why Now
The Asia-Pacific region represents the fastest-growing market for industrial AI adoption. South Korea, Japan, and Southeast Asia are home to some of the world's most advanced manufacturers — companies operating at scale, with complex supply chains, and an acute need for intelligent automation on the factory floor.
Our conversations with major Korean conglomerates over the past eighteen months made one thing clear: the demand for AI-driven inspection and maintenance is not theoretical. These companies are actively seeking solutions that can be deployed at the edge, operate in real-time, and integrate with their existing operational technology stacks. sensfix is uniquely positioned to deliver on all three requirements.
The decision to establish a Seoul office as our APAC headquarters was deliberate. South Korea's manufacturing sector — spanning automotive, electronics, heavy industry, and shipbuilding — represents a concentrated market of exactly the kind of enterprises that benefit most from our multimodal AI platform. The country's world-class 5G infrastructure and government support for Industry 4.0 initiatives make it an ideal launchpad for the broader region.
Building Regional Teams on the Ground
Technology alone does not win enterprise deals. Deploying AI in industrial environments requires deep domain expertise, on-site support during integration, and ongoing collaboration with plant engineers and maintenance teams. That is why a significant portion of this funding is allocated to building dedicated regional teams in APAC.
We are hiring across several functions:
- Solutions engineers who understand both the AI stack and the physical realities of industrial equipment
- Customer success managers fluent in the operational workflows of heavy manufacturing
- Field application specialists who can work alongside maintenance crews during deployment and tuning phases
- Regional sales leadership with established relationships in Korean and Japanese enterprise accounts
This is not a remote-first expansion. We believe that earning the trust of industrial customers requires proximity, responsiveness, and a willingness to be present on the factory floor — not just in the boardroom.
Continued R&D in Audio AI and Edge Computing
A meaningful share of the capital raised will fund continued research and development in two areas where sensfix has established a significant technical moat: audio AI for industrial diagnostics and edge computing for real-time inference.
Our acoustic monitoring models can detect anomalies in rotating machinery — compressors, motors, turbines, bearings — by analyzing sound signatures that are imperceptible to the human ear. This capability, when combined with our computer vision models, creates a multimodal diagnostic pipeline that delivers insights neither modality can achieve alone.
On the edge computing front, we are investing in further optimization of our inference engine to operate on increasingly constrained hardware. The goal is clear: deliver sub-second AI analysis at the point of need, without dependence on cloud connectivity. In many industrial environments, reliable internet access is a luxury, not a given. Our edge-first architecture ensures that sensfix works where it matters most — on the shop floor, in the maintenance bay, at the trackside.
Expanding the Defect Model Library
One of the most tangible outcomes of this funding will be a significant expansion of our proprietary defect detection model library. Today, sensfix maintains dozens of specialized models trained on industrial defect data across multiple verticals — rail, manufacturing, energy, and telecommunications. Each model is purpose-built to detect specific failure modes with high precision.
With this funding, we plan to:
- Double the number of available detection models within twelve months
- Expand into new equipment categories requested by enterprise customers
- Improve model accuracy through larger, more diverse training datasets collected in partnership with our deployment base
- Reduce the time required to train and validate new models from weeks to days
Our model library is our competitive advantage. Every deployment generates data that makes the next deployment better. This flywheel effect is at the core of our product-led growth strategy.
Product-Led Expansion Within Enterprise Accounts
The most capital-efficient growth engine in enterprise software is expansion within existing accounts. A customer that starts with sensfix for one use case — say, visual inspection of brake components — soon discovers that the same platform can monitor acoustic signatures of compressors, digitize maintenance workflows, and generate compliance-ready audit trails.
This pattern has repeated across our customer base. Initial deployments covering a single production line or equipment category expand to cover entire facilities. Facility-level deployments expand to regional or global rollouts. The platform's modular architecture and the breadth of our model library make this expansion natural and low-friction.
We track net revenue retention as our primary growth metric, and the numbers tell a compelling story: customers are spending significantly more with sensfix year over year, driven entirely by the value they realize from the platform. This is not growth fueled by aggressive sales tactics. It is growth fueled by product performance.
What This Means for Our Customers and Partners
What This Means for Our Customers and Partners
For our existing customers, this funding means faster model development, deeper support coverage, and a continued commitment to the product roadmap they depend on. For prospective customers in APAC and beyond, it means a well-capitalized, proven AI partner with a track record of delivering measurable operational improvements in demanding industrial environments.
We are building sensfix for the long term. This Series A extension is one step in a journey that we believe will fundamentally change how the world's industrial infrastructure is inspected, maintained, and optimized. We are grateful for the confidence of our investors and the trust of our customers, and we are excited about what comes next.
