The West Midlands Government of the United Kingdom established a 5G cluster in collaboration with Telefonica Group and Nokia. Sensfix factory automation was used by UK companies like as BAE Systems, DENSO, Bam Nuttall, and Celsa Group to evaluate multimodal AI-based automation for industrial applications. Sensfix was asked by Telefonica Group to meet with these UK firms and discuss the possibilities of using our industrial automation software on 5G-connected facilities that they are building. Sensfix used this opportunity to strengthen its 5G connected factory thought leadership and market position, having previously established itself as a first mover company in another 5G cluster in Europe led by Ericsson.
Sensfix was chosen to be part of a cohort of 11 manufacturing companies that will have access to a 5G private network in Birmingham, as well as technical help to test 5G use cases and produce proof of concepts. Digital Catapult leads the initiative in partnership with Programme Partners Wayra, O2, Deloitte, and WM5G.
We are grateful for the chance to participate in the program and use the 5PRING 5G testbed, as well as the mentorship we will receive from the initiative’s Partners: BAE Systems, BAM Nuttall Ltd, Make UK, CELSA GROUP, DENSO, AE Aerospace Ltd., AttoCore, BUILDING RESEARCH ESTABLISHMENT LIMITED .
