The client is a warehouse owned by a renowned automobile manufacturer in South Korea. They utilize Honeywell’s business barcode scanner to individually scan each barcode. Within the storage unit of the warehouse, there are packages with barcodes on the boxes. The employees’ responsibility is to scan these barcodes and manually input the box information into a software system. The complete process, including scanning the barcodes, verifying inbound documents, and entering the data into their ERP software, typically takes approximately 2.5 days for an average inbound consignment consisting of 3 palettes. The client’s current problem is the time-consuming manual process of scanning and entering barcode information, taking 2.5 days per consignment.
